My everyday location!
Well what can I say I see the Lakes at least once a year and have visited from I was three years old. I could write for hours about this little section of Northern England. From visiting the Lakes every year, I have got to know a lot of the popular towns and tourist spots, some being, Keswick, Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead and mountains such as, Catbells, Walla Crag, Latrigg and Scafell Pike.
Every year when we go back we see how specific towns have changed from either the shops changing ownership or the landscapes getting even more picturesque. We stay in the town of Keswick and it is our central base for everything, sleep, food and our favourite walks. If we aren’t hiking up Castle Crag every night to catch the sunset over Derwentwater, we are sitting out the Keswickian Chip shop having a cone of chips.
We visit all the other towns and villages just for a little nosey but we fell in love with Buttermere lake as we never knew it existed until we kept driving until this huge lake appeared from nowhere. Although to date the best thing I have done in all of the times I have visited the Lakes was on my 21st birthday I got to paraglide of Walla Crag and what a view I had.
I look forward to getting back to the Lake District to see what other adventures I can unfold. Whether its another family holiday or a solo adventure myself for a mini break, who knows?
